About Chef Denise

Born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, Chef Denise moved to Texas in 1992 where she has lived in Houston, Austin and San Antonio. Chef Denise has grown up with a passion for baking. Her self-taught skills have been advanced with formal training where she graduated with honors from the International School of Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Houston. Currently she is the Chef/Owner of The Lemon Wedge, located in historic downtown Bryan. With the help of family and friends, Chef Denise has put together a menu of favorite recipes. The ingredients are fresh and tantalizing and she is excited to bring them to you. It is hard to put a label on what type of cuisine, but as Julia Child once said. “You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces – just good food from fresh ingredients.”!!!!!!
